Matcha green tea smoothie

     Matcha  is a type of green tea made by taking young tea leaves and grinding them into a bright green powder. The powder is then whisked with hot water. This is different from  regular green tea, where the leaves are infused in water, then removed.  Matcha leaves are grown on green tea bushes kept under shade. The shade increases the amount of chlorophyll content in the leaves, which is what makes them bright green and full of nutrients. The leaves are picked by hand and the stems and veins are removed.  Matcha, like other green teas, contains a class of antioxidants called catechins. Matcha is high in a catechin called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which is believed to have cancer-fighting effects on the body. Studies have linked green tea to a variety of health benefits, like helping to prevent heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer, and even encouraging weight loss. Whole-roasted Chicken and Veggies

  Ingredients for 6 servings 2 carrots, diced 1 cup butternut squash (125 g) , diced 1 ½ cups broccoli floret (225 g) 2 tablespoons oil 4 lb small whole chicken (2 kg) salt, to taste black pepper, to taste 1 leaf fresh thyme leaf, to taste 3 sprigs fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish butcher's twine Preparation Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large, ovenproof skillet or frying pan, mix together the carrots, squash, and broccoli, and coat with the oil. Spread the veggies into 1 even layer. Place the chicken on top of the veggies. Season the bird on all sides and in the cavity with salt, pepper, and fresh thyme leaves. While seasoning the bird, make sure that enough seasoning has fallen onto the veggies below to give them good flavor. To truss the chicken, fold the wingtips underneath the breasts so that they fit snugly. Using a piece of butcher’s twine, tie the legs together so the bird holds a nice shape.   Ingredients for 6 servings CAKE 10 large eggs, seperated 1 ¼ cups sugar (250 g) , divided 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ¾ cup cake flour (90 g) ½ cup cocoa powder (60 g) , divided ½ teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ICING 24 oz cream cheese (680 g) , room temperature ½ cup unsalted butter (115 g) , 1 stick, room temperature 4 cups powdered sugar (640 g) 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 15 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed 5 chocolate sandwich cookies, halved Preparation In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with 1 cup (200 g) of sugar and the vanilla extract until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Sift in the flour, half of the cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Mix until just combined, and set aside Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a separate large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Add the remaining sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. One Pot Chicken Fajita Pasta

Ingredients 3 chicken breast 3 tablespoons oil 1 green bell pepper 1 red bell pepper 1 onion 1 yellow bell pepper 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon cumin 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 ¼ L (5 cups) milk 1 tablespoon garlic powder 100 g (1 cup) pepper jack cheese, shredded 400 g (4 cups) penne pasta Step 1 In a large pot add oil over high heat and add chicken and cook for 5 minutes then take it out the pan. Step 2 In the same pot add onion and pepper bell and cook for 6 minutes. Add the chicken in the pot, salt, chili powder,pepper, cumin, and garlic powder and stir for 30 seconds. Step 3 Add the milk and penne and stir constantly to prevent it sticking. Cook for 20 minutes until the pasta is cooked and the milk is thick. Add the cheese and mix until melted. Enjoy 💜

Coffee Fudge

Ingredients 1/2kg semisweet chocolate chips 2 tbsp coffee 1/2 cinnamon 307 ml sweetener condensed milk 1 g vanilla 1g salt Step 1 In a bowl combine the milk, chocolate chips coffee, salt and cinnamon. Mix it well and then microwave it for 2 minutes. Step 2 After you get it out the microwave stir it and then add the vanilla. Mix the mixture well and once is done   in a baking pan add the parchment paper. In the pan add the mixture and refrigerate for 2 hours. Caramel Snicker Cookies Cups

Ingredients 9 fun sized snickers 255 g  chocolate chip cookie dough 110 g caramel syrup Step 1 Get a muffin pan and coat it with oil spray. Place the dough in to the muffin pan and press it to give the cup shape. Step 2 Bake for 12 minutes. When the cookies are removed from the oven place the snickers bar in each cookie cup. Greek Christmas Honey Cookies - Melomakarona

When I first tried Melomakarona was the first Christmas that I had in Greece. They are Christmas desserts that are very popular in Greece. I'm not a big fan of honey but they taste delicious and honey makes them better. Ingredients for Melomakarona 150 g fine semolina 550 g flour 1/2 tbsp baking powder 100 g orange juice 100 g sugar 1 tbsp cognac 1 tbsp powered cinnamon 1/3 Tsp nutmeg 1/3 clove 1/2 baking soda 1 vanilla extract 90 g water 125g olive oil 125 g vegetables oil 50 honey Zest of an orange Ingredients for syrup 600 sugar 300 g water 2 cinnamon stick 3 cloves 1 orange 180 g honey Ingredients to garnish 200 g chopped walnuts Step 1 We have to make the syrup first. In an bowl we add the ingredients except for honey. Boil for 4 minutes until the sugar dissolve and remove from the stove. Stir in the honey and let it cool. Step 2 In another bowl add semolina, flour and baking powder and mix well. Step 3 In another bowl add orange juice, cognac, sugar, the spices and mix well.

Easy Gummy Candy Recipe

Easy gummy candy recipe made with only 3 ingredients. Super easy to make at home even if you can't cook. Every one will love them and you can even use them for parties and birthdays. Ingredients 50 g granulated sugar 21 g gelatin ( 3 packages of 21 g each) 71 g water or flavored liquid 85 g corn syrup Step 1 Combine the sugar, gelatin and water (flavored liquid) in a heat proof container. Stir gently to combine and let it sit for some minutes to give it time to bloom. Step 2 Microwave it for 40 seconds and stir well. Microwave until you don't see any grain of gelatin and melted properly. After is melted well ad in the corn syrup and stir well to combine. Let it sit until an foam is created and collect it with a spoon. Step 3 Put your mixture into your mold and let it chill for an hour before removing. Homemade Candy Cane

Candy cane take time and energy to make. They are not easy but can be made at home if you have the time and the equipment. You can make them any color you want. Ingredients 3 cup sugar 1 cup corn syrup 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon peppermint extract 1 teaspoon food coloring any color you want Step 1 Spray 2 baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 200 F. Step 2 Mix sugar, corn syrup and 1/4 cup of water in a saucepan in medium high heat. Stir until the sugar dissolve. Step 3 Put the remaining 1/4 cup of water in a bowl and use it to wet a brush. Use the brush to wash the crystals on the sides of the pan. Don't stir the syrup. When it boils put a thermometer. When the thermometer is 285 the candy has reached soft crack stage and removed it from heat. Step 4 After you move it from heat add the peppermint extract. And then put the half of the syrup into the baking sheet and place it on the preheat oven. Step 5 Stir food coloring in the remaining syrup and pour it

How to make the best Crumpets

I remember going to the shop very happy to buy my favorite sweets and eating them with my family. We all loved them, they are not to sweet but are very delicious. Since I move to Greece I tried to find them but it was hard. They don't sell the same sweet. The recipe is different and the taste is not the same, so I decided to ask my family members if they knew. Luckily some knew it and I decided to try it. It was very easy and didn't take much time. Hope you try it and succeed. Ingredients 500 gr butter 500 gr ice sugar 1 kg flour 1 g vanilla Step 1 In a bowl we mix sugar and melted butter and mix till a mixture is created. Step 2 In the bowl we put the flour and vanilla and mix well. Begin to work it by hand until the dough is made. Step 3 You can cut the dough any from you desire. In a pan put a paper sheet and put the Crumpets you made, cook it in a oven with 150°C. After is baked leave it for some hours and then powder it with ice sugar.
